Children with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are educable or trainable may be admitted, including children with Intellectual Disability, Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, ADHD and Multiple Disabilities.

Are admissions open throughout the year?

Yes, admissions are open throughout the year. Parents may visit the school or fix an appointment with the Principal.

Does Disha charge a compulsory fee?

Disha does not charge any compulsory fee for its services. Voluntary contributions from parents and well-wishers are accepted.

Admissions are open throughout the year. Parents are welcome to visit the school, meet the Principal, and discuss their child’s needs with our special educators and therapists.

Eligibility

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Down Syndrome
ADHD
Multiple Disabilities

The child should be toilet trained and should not have uncontrolled epilepsy.

Admission Process

1. Visit the School

Parents may visit Disha or fix an appointment with the Principal.

2. Initial Discussion

The child’s background, developmental needs, and family concerns are discussed.

3. Child Assessment

The child is assessed by special educators and therapists to understand their abilities, limitations, and learning needs.

4. Suitable Placement

Based on the assessment, the child is placed in an appropriate class or learning group.

Documents Required

Please bring the following documents at the time of admission:

Child’s photograph
Child’s Aadhaar Card
Child’s Disability Certificate
Child’s UDID Card
Aadhaar Card of parents
Income Certificate, if annual income is below ₹1 lakh

9:30 AM to 2:30 PM

Summer Timing

9:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Disha School of Special Education is open 6 days a week.

Fee Declaration

Disha does not charge any compulsory fee for its services.

However, voluntary contributions from parents and well-wishers are accepted and appreciated.

Disha receives grant support from the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India.

Donations made to Disha / Meerut Children Welfare Trust are eligible for exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act.
